Veuve Ambal cultivates over 220 hectares of vines on the finest terroirs in Burgundy. This wealth of soils, climates and exposure enables us to create Crémants de Bourgogne that are elegant, complex and accessible.

Molesme (36 ha) – On the northern edge of Burgundy, this limestone terroir produces remarkably lively wines with notes of red fruit and pastries.

Auxerrois, near Chablis (44 ha) – Kimmeridgian soils provide minerality and tension, for Crémants with expressive freshness.

ÉRIC ET AURÉLIEN
Eric Piffaut, grandson of Charles Roux, joined the family business in 1980 and became CEO in 1988. A visionary, he endowed Veuve Ambal with vineyard estates, helped raise the profile of the AOC, and led Veuve Ambal to the rank of 1st producer and leading brand of Crémant de Bourgogne.
Eric Piffaut’s son Aurélien joined Veuve Ambal in 2010. He represents the 6th generation of the family, and carries in his veins the dynamism instilled by his ancestor Marie Ambal.
